This is the 20th year of the Blues Festival in Bridgetown WA and will have a line up of 42 acts.

They will be streaming the festival on the 10 and 11 of November this year, linked from Their web site

The main performance stage will have 6 cameras, video mixed and uploaded as Artist Sets or Brackets to create an almost live 24 hours of video.
The video will be hosted through a cloud service provider so it will be available with fast access globally.
The files will also remain in the Cloud service for a good period of time to view.

A DVD will be produced from the quality video for purchase after the Festival or pre-order and save on the purchase.

They are a small community of only about 3,000 people and the Festival needs to grow through this online delivery to stay sustainable.

Greetings to all our Members, Future Members and friends,

I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Australia Society Tokyo and to help make it even more attractive for all our members and prospective members. The AST is run by a very capable group of volunteers who put in a lot of effort to arrange and hold enjoyable events and activities for our members.

Martin Giles has taken on the role of Vice President and we are both looking forward to making the AST even better. I encourage all those in our membership who are interested in helping out or have ideas for events to contact us at any time because the AST really is a Society of the members, for the members, and by the members.

I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible at our upcoming events. There is a Wine Event on Friday  (Aug 17th) at Roti in Roppongi, and the Family BBQ will be held at the Australian Embassy on September 22nd. Feel free to bring colleagues and friends, too. Then of course the big ones: the Melbourne Cup Day Event in November and the Australia Day Ball in January 2013. The Kids' Christmas Party will be held as usual in early December. Last but not least, our monthly Coffee Mornings are also great for meeting people and having a chat in the morning. Check our website for more details about all our events.

I really hope you will all help us spread the word about the Australia Society Tokyo and its purpose.

    Alex Byrne
    President - Australia Society Tokyo
